The album is dedicated to the songs of the composer Jerome Kern. This was the second series of collections of Fitzgerald songs organized by Riddle; their previous joint project was her book of George and Ira Gershwin songs in 1959. Fitzgerald and Riddle also recorded two albums of standards in 1962: "Ella Swings Brightly with Nelson" and "Ella Swings Softly with Nelson". ALLENTOWN PRESS.  A very rare American original of the cult album. Waiting for the Sun is the third studio album by the American rock band The Doors, released in July 1968. The CD was recorded at Sunset Sound Studio (Los Angeles). It was originally planned that it would be based on a 25-minute composition "The Celebration of Lizard" ("Praise of the Lizard"), but after listening to the recorded material, which only Morrison was satisfied with, this idea had to be abandoned. The album also did not include the title song, which was transferred to the album Morrison Hotel. While working on the album, Morrison often got drunk, which infuriated producer Paul Rothschild. Despite its roughness, as well as a barrage of criticism, the album reached the first line in the national hit parade. ...more
