Until 1991, it existed only as a magnetoalbum, being distributed by copying. Included in the book by Alexander Kushnir "100 magnetoalbums of Soviet rock", The recording was made on June 7-10, 1981. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot.  The songs "In life, as in a Dark thicket", "Who's to Blame?" and "I used to wander one" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded. It was adapted from the play "Porgy" by Dorothy Hayward and Dubose Hayward, which is itself an adaptation of the 1925 novel of the same name by Dubose Hayward. Porgy and Bess was first performed in Boston on September 30, 1935, before moving to Broadway in New York.[1] It featured a cast of classically trained African-American singers—a bold artistic choice at the time. After an initially unpopular public reception, the 1976 production of the Houston Grand Opera brought her new popularity, and she is now one of the most famous and frequently performed operas. In 1976, Ray Charles and Cleo Lane recorded an album of excerpts for RCA Victor, in which the two of them performed several roles. The album was arranged and conducted by Frank De Vol. It featured Joe Sample's organ, Harry Edison's trumpet, and guitar work by Joe Pass and Lee Ritenour.
