Until 1991, it existed only as a tape album, distributed by copying. Included in the book by Alexander Kushnir "100 magnetoalbums of Soviet rock" The recording was made on June 7-10, 1981. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot.  The songs "In life, like in a dark thicket", "Who's to blame?" and "I used to wander alone" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded. ARIA-HERO OF ASPHALT-1988-FIRST PRESS USSR-MELODIA-C6027413000. A rare original of the cult album. Hero of Asphalt is the third studio album by Aria. This is the first album after the split of the band in early 1987, "Hero of Asphalt" is also the first album officially released by "Melody", the two previous albums at that time existed and were distributed as tape albums only on tape cassettes. The album was a great success, its sales exceeded 1 million copies (which in the United States corresponds to the platinum status), but the exact circulation is unknown even to the company "Melody", although, according to her, at least 1.5 million records were printed.On this album, for the first time, all the lyrics were written by Margarita Pushkina, and Alexander Elin, who wrote the lyrics to previous albums, left for the Master group and did not work with Aria until 2001.In 2008, a concert tour was held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the album, which resulted in the release of a double live album and a concert video "Hero of Asphalt XX years".
