A rare CBS contract original, Made in Japan is a double live album by the English rock band Deep Purple, recorded during their first tour of Japan in August 1972. It was originally released in December 1972, and in the US in April 1973, and became a super commercial success. The album was an immediate commercial success, especially in the US, where it was followed by the top five hit "Smoke on the Water" and became a steady seller throughout the 1970s. A Rolling Stone reader poll in 2012 ranked Made in Japan as the sixth best live album of all time. ...more

INXS-X-1990-FIRST PRESS EU-HOLLAND-MERCURY-866668-1.  A rare European original of the cult group. X is the seventh studio album by Australian rock band INXS, released on 25 September 1990. After a massive seller hit, X scored hits with "Suicide Blonde" and "Disappear" (both Top 10 in the US). Both singles were later used on the soundtrack to the 1991 American teen comedy Mystery Date. X was the third consecutive INXS album produced by Chris Thomas. The name, Roman numeral "10", represents the band's tenth year of existence since the release of their debut album in 1980.  The album was certified platinum in January 1991 by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales of over 300,000 copies. X proved successful across Europe, reaching number 5 in Switzerland, number 7 in France, number 9 in Germany, number 10 in Sweden, and number 13 in Norway. The album quickly gained gold accreditation in all of these regions, subsequently reaching platinum status in both France and Switzerland. In the United States, Album X peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Top 200 chart on October 20, 1990. As in the UK, the album spent a total of 43 weeks on the charts.Less than two months after its release, the X was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on November 13, 1990 for shipments of 500,000 units. The album was attended by such musicians as Helen Terry, Peter Gabriel and sting. The drive was very successful, was positively accepted by critics and listeners, which was reflected in the awarding of No Jacket Required by the award "Grammy" in the category "album of the year" and "Best male pop vocal performance". Stephen Holden (eng. Stephen Holden) from The New York Times said that Collins "has made a quiet revolution, and expanded the role of a shock when you create pop music." A columnist for Rolling Stone magazine, David Fricke noted that "Like his early albums Face Value and I Must Be Going!, the album No Jacket Required is not an album that waits to be liked".The album became the most commercially successful Phil Collins topped the charts in many countries including the USA (where it topped the charts for seven weeks), UK and Canada. A rare original of the iconic sound track. Assa is a 1987 Soviet film directed by Sergei Solovyov. The film was attended by popular rock musicians (including Viktor Tsoi), the soundtrack included songs by Boris Grebenshchikov and the group "Aquarium", Zhanna Aguzarova with the group" Bravo", the group"Cinema". Thus, the film "Assa" became one of the main film evidence of Russian rock, which reached its peak in the second half of the 1980s. The film was mostly shot in Yalta in November-December 1986. The film premiered on March 25, 1988 at the Moscow DC MEL'z as part of the Assa art-rock parade. THIN LIZZY-CHINATOWN-1980-FIRST PRESS UK-VERTIGO-6359030. A rare British original by British hard rockers.  Chinatown is the tenth studio album by the Irish band Thin Lizzy, released in 1980. He introduced guitarist Snowy White, who would also perform on the next album, and also toured with Thin Lizzy between 1980 and 1982; he replaced Gary Moore as the permanent guitarist. White has previously worked with Cliff Richard, Peter Green, and Pink Floyd. Eighteen-year-old Darren Wharton also played keyboards in Chinatown, and later that year he joined Thin Lizzy as a permanent member.  The album reached high positions in the charts, although according to critics it was weaker than Black rose, UK Albums Chart-7 place, Billboard 200 (USA) - 120 place.  ...more
