ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album. Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. The album, like the previous one, was a huge success, placing in the charts of all countries in the top ten. It became multi-platinum in just one year.

He introduced guitarist Snowy White, who would also perform on the next album, and also toured with Thin Lizzy between 1980 and 1982; he replaced Gary Moore as the permanent guitarist. White has previously worked with Cliff Richard, Peter Green, and Pink Floyd. Eighteen-year-old Darren Wharton also played keyboards in Chinatown, and later that year he joined Thin Lizzy as a permanent member.
