Atypical was the fact that the team consisted of seven black members, which, however, was also not so rare. A turning point occurred when the Demon Fuzz musicians visited Morocco, where they fully discovered African music. Here lies the secret of this unusual group: when they returned back to the UK, they realized that it would be great to mix their native progressive rock with the African rhythms that they loved so much. As a result, their cult album was born, which is designated as Afro-rock. However, the musical palette of Demon Fuzz turned out even brighter. In their heavy progressive, in addition to the African influence, you can find elements of soul (especially in the vocals), and jazz with a confident wind section, and although not so significant, but slipping funk.
