Lot 23OMEGA (RED STAR)- FROM HUNGARY-1968 FIRST PRESS UK-DECCA-NMINT/NMINT

OMEGA (RED STAR)- FROM HUNGARY-1968 UK FIRST PRESS-DECCA-SKL4974. Matrices A-1W/B-1W. Mega Rare is the first album recorded in English and released in England.  500 copies of stereo and mono were released. In 1968, the manager of the British band "Spencer Davis Group" invited me to visit the UK with several concerts.  The Omega was allowed to leave without question. At that time, the band already had quite a lot of song material, which they played in front of English listeners in London and elsewhere. One of the concerts was attended by two friends-guitarists – the legendary George Harrison and Eric Clapton. They suggested that Omega record at Abbey Road Studios, which they did. The recording lasted for three days. The album was released in the same year on the label "Decca", and was so successful that the group was offered to record another album without leaving the box office. But the authorities in Budapest got wind of this and ordered the second album to be released in Hungary, otherwise the band would never be released abroad again. I had to comply and record the album at home in Hungarian. It included less than half of the tracks from the English album, and even then heavily reworked, and the rest of the material was completely different. The CD turned out to be very successful and sold 100 thousand copies in Europe – at that time it was a record compared to even some famous Western bands!

Vinyl record in a clean top condition - NMINT / ARCHIVE. The cover is laminated in top condition - NMINT / ARCHIVE. Labels in top condition - NMINT/ARCHIVE.

MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND-GLORIFIED MAGNIFIED-1972-FIRST PRESS UK-PHILIPS-6308125. Matrix A-1/B-1 is a very rare British original of the cult album. Glorified Magnified is the 2nd studio album by English prog rock band Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Recorded in the summer of 1972 in London at the studio "Maximum". It was released on September 29, 1972, via Philips Records in the United Kingdom and Polydor Records in the United States. For the first time, the band's corporate logo appears on the cover, which will now be shown in a reduced form or color version on all Manfred Mann's Earth Band albums. "Glorified Magnified" was released a little more than six months after the debut album of the band "Manfred Mann's Earth Band". In general, he continued the line outlined by the first album-compositions in the style of heavy progressive rock of the early 1970s with elements of blues and folk, dominated by electric guitar and keyboards. According to music critic Bruce Eder, this is a" hard rock "album of its era, which, due to the mixture of rock, synthesizer and chorus, sometimes achieves the sound characteristic of "King Crimson" of the mid-1970s. Most of the songs are written by the band members, but there are a few cover versions of songs by other musicians, including a treatment of the popular song "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" by Bob Dylan from the 1965 album Bringing It All Back Home. ...more

Lot 59.CROSS (EX-QUEEN, ROGER TAYLOR AUTOGRAPH)- BLUE ROCK-1991- FIRST PRESS UK/EU-GERMANY-NMINT/NMINT

CROSS (EX-QUEEN, ROGER TAYLOR AUTOGRAPH) - BLUE ROCK-1991-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-GERMANY-7777976241. A mega rare original of EX-QUEEN's solo work. The Cross is a British rock band founded by Queen drummer Roger Taylor. It existed from 1987 to 1993, during which time it released 3 studio albums and 9 singles. The band's sound changed with each album: Shove It mixed rock and dance music; Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know was closer to hard rock, and Blue Rock mixed elements of hard rock and heavy metal. The third album, Blue Rock, was the most controversial. Some fans call it frankly weak, while others leave only the best reviews about the album. This album was released only in Germany and Japan, where The Cross achieved the greatest popularity. It seems that the band broke up due to a complete lack of interest in the UK and the US. The Cross was not a great commercial success, although the album Shove It still managed to reach number 58 in the UK charts,  the singles Shove It — number 82, Heaven for Everyone — number 83 and Power to Love-number 85.  ...more
