ARKTIS-ARKTIS TAPES-1975-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-BON BON-BBR7502. Mega rare short-run original of one of the key prog albums of the 70s. Arktis - Arktis Tapes 1975. The second album of the band from Bonn. Unfortunately, the first album did not find a "buyer", and in 1974, with the assistance of Konrad Planck, Arktis recorded a second demo album, released in may 1975 with a circulation of 500 copies-again for promotion purposes. The music here is somewhat restrained, but no less attractive and covering. In this music, you can feel not only a craving for art-rock (prolonged instrumental pieces), but also the sprouts of guitar technique, characteristic of what in the next decade was called "heavy metal". One critic wrote a scathing note: If such an album had been released in 1969 or 1970, they would have been at the top with Black Sabbath and LED ZEPPELIN , and now the time is gone. Mega rare British original hard Blues progressive album. They were founded in 1970 by classical multi-instrumentalist Peter Solly and jazz drummer Keith Webb, two members of Terry reed's band that was part of the opening act for The Rolling Stones on their 1969 American tour . Other band members were Derek Foley (guitar and vocals), formerly of Grisby Dyke; Lou Stonebridge (keyboards and vocals) of Glass Menagerie, who released five progressive rock and psychedelic rock singles, as well as lead singer Grisby Dyke; and Peter Beckett (bass guitar, vocals), who came from Liverpool-based Winston G and the Wicked, and later in the final incarnation of World of Oz .They played at venues across the UK, working to develop their sound by performing a mix of rock, Blues, soul, jazz and Latin music. The paladin's use of a double keyboard also created a unique sound. These performances were noticed by Bronze Records (who also recorded Uriah Heep and Manfred Mann). On January 8, 1971, paladin entered Olympic Studios in London to record his debut self-titled first album, produced by Filamore Lincoln. Reviews were good, but sales were disappointing. ...more

A very rare British original of one of the cult jazz albums.  This is an album by two American jazz saxophonists Gerry Mulligan and Johnny Hodges with performances recorded in 1959, released on the Verve label. The Allmusic website gave the album 4 stars, stating: "Gerry Mulligan's 1959 Studio date with Johnny Hodges is one of the most enjoyable sessions of his meetings with various saxophonists for Verve ... Throughout the performance, the two saxophonists are perfectly combined with each other and complement each other. effort, even though it was their only opportunity to record together in the Studio." ...more
