The album first released in 1973 via Island Records . It was the first album that was released after the reorganization of the group following their break-up in 1970. Guitarist-founder Luther Grosvenor has not returned to the group, since he joined Mott the Hoople as a guitarist, adopting the stage name Ariel Bender . Grosvenor was replaced by Mick Jones, who later co-founded Foreigner, and drummer Mike Kelly was replaced by Bryson Graham . Konstantin Kazansky says:In 1977 the same year, when he published the "military" record on "Shang du Monde", a great admirer of Vladimir Vysotsky Jacques Urevich, which I mentioned, too, wanted to release his album. With him we have had conversations about it, and Urevich I said, "I don't know how it turns out. When you make arrangements for Alesha Dimitrievich, each song is different, and when you do to Vysotsky, and there behind only a guitar — and everything."
