Ixnay on the Hombre is the fourth album by American punk rock band the Offspring, was released on 4 February 1997. After the major success of the album Smash, the band returned to the Studio in 1996 to record their next album, which was titled Ixnay on Hombre. The name combines pig Latin ("Ixnay" version of the word "nix") and the word "Hombre" (which translated from Spanish means people). Ixnay on the Hombre was released on February 4, 1997 and is the first album The Offspring distributed by Columbia Records. Fly from Here — the name of the multipart composition, the basis of which ("We Can Fly from Here") was established in 1980 in preparation for the Drama album (the first rehearsal was held with the participation of bill Bruford on drums). It was recorded the demo, but the song in album of the 80-year were not included.
