MAYALL, JOHN-THE TURNING POINT-1969-FIRST UK PRESS-POLYDOR-583571, Mega rare British original fully loaded (poster booklet). Album - John mijolla in all respects a turning point, a point of reference. When John Mayall formed another band after the breakup been so diligent in may 1969, he decided that this group will play the music with low volume level - or music without "heavy guitars and drums". Album "the Turning Point" was recorded at the concert, which took place on 12 July 1969 at Fillmore East, new York. Performers the album was John Mayall on vocals, harmonica, slide guitar and a Fender Telecaster, tambourine and percussion; Jon mark on acoustic guitar; Steve Thompson on bass, and johnny almond on tenor and Alto sax, flute and percussion. All songs on the album were written by John Mayol (as well as in collaboration with Steve Thompson). The track "I'm Gonna Fight For You JB" is a tribute to American Blues guitarist George. B. Lenoir who died in 1967 and had a profound influence on John Maiella. The album has only seven songs in 48 minutes. Sometimes they seem too long, but this is only the idea of John to immerse the audience into the atmosphere of soft sounds and rhythms. All things are good and, in principle, Blues, just supply a very unusual and new for that time. Critics highly praised the work. ALLMUSIC gives the album its highest rating -5 stars.
