The album's title track "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow[en]", released as single, reached the 86-th place in the charts. Apostrophe (’) is the biggest commercial achievement of Frank Zappa. 7 April 1976 the album was rated gold status. In addition, the disc rose to 10th place in the Billboard charts. Continuing the commercial breakthrough of Over-Nite Sensation (1973), this album contains a mix of short songs and rich musical arrangements, demonstrating a cynical sense of humor, and Zappa . The lyrical theme of the album is strange and unclear (For example, the tracks "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow" and "Nanook Rubs It" tell of the singer who wants to become an eskimo named Nanuk), with the exception of "Uncle Remus", which is a continuation of Zappa's relationship to racial discrimination, which subjects touched on in his earlier song "Trouble Every Day".
