Lot 24.VIRUS-THOUGHTS-1971-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-PILZ-NMINT/NMINT

VIRUS-THOUGHTS-1971-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-PILZ-20-21102-9. For musicians "Virus" 1971 was eventful. Almost immediately after the release of "Revelation" some of them were invited as accompanists Ken Hensley, which is in between "Salisbury" and "Look At Yourself" came to Germany to make another commercial project like "Machine Head". But apparently, the cooperation with the Englishman did not go to the group benefit, as after a couple of months of the original structure remained only Jörg-Dieter Krahe and Wolfgang Rieke. In connection with these events the band lost original quite an original sound and the band has played more straight-ahead hard rock. The musicians, who had gone to Hensley in "Weed", very soon regretted it. Ken after's self-titled album back in England, and not having gone on tour with young and hungry to glory by the Germans. And if "Uriah Heep" was prepared for a happy life (at least for the next 10 years), here's the musicians from "Virus" to realize their full potential and failed. ...more

KESTREL-KESTREL-1975-FIRST UK PRESS-CUBE-HIFLY-19. Mega rare original prog school in Britain. Kestrel was self-sufficient musicians, and not pestered the recording companies. In the early 1970s, this symphonic rock quintet was playing in his pleasure in one of the London colleges. There guys have noticed, one John worth, an employee of a small division of the company Decca. So he helped young friends to produce in 1975 the first (and last)album, after thirty years of internationally recognized music lovers one of the most exciting releases of the second wave of the British art-rock. The basis of the disc was copyrighted material guitarist Dave Blake. Juicy, perfectly recorded compositions show excellent level of performance. The release is perceived in one breath, and only the goals set by the great Genesis, YES, Jethro Tull and King Crimson, not allows you to place it in the register of masterpieces. Strange, of course, it was limited to the sole plate. From the album just loaded to the gills with positive... Remains to add that in the future their abilities Dave Blake showed in the group of David Bowie and several own projects. ...more
