It was one of the first three albums released on Vertigo . The core members of the group were Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg. Mann played the organ and acted as musical arranger of the group, while Hugg singing, played the piano and was the main songwriter. The group was supplemented by a brass section of five people and several outstanding jazz soloists.
