The album received positive reviews from critics and became a commercial success. He took first place in album chart in the UK and reached the 17th place on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album was certified multi-platinum by the British Association of the Phonographic industry and the recording industry of America for parties 1.2 million and five million copies respectively.
